Articulating Needle Holder Launched
A new tool for laparoscopic surgery was introduced last week: the Autonomy Laparo-Angle Needle Holder from Cambridge Endo. The needle holder is designed for use during both knot tying and suturing. The advantage of this new tool is a needle holder with seven degrees of freedom, which significantly improves control over the needle and positioning for intraoperative tasks.
The company engaged feedback from members of the surgical community while developing the device. The needle holder accompanies a complete line of 5mm laparoscopic instruments which can all be use with standard laparoscopic trocars.
