Atrium Medical Mesh Approved

A new mesh product from Atrium Medical Corporation designed to support soft tissue repair received FDA approval. C-QURLite Mesh appears to be less likely to cause adhesions by decreasing collagen formation. One of the primary market targets for the product is surgical hernia repair.

The product is designed with an Omega 3 fatty acid bioabsorbable coating over lightweight surgical mesh. The product has superior stiffness, as a well as a decreased rate of inflammation to surrounding tissue.
