Healthcare IT Merger: PanGo and Wireless

The merger of InnerWireless and PanGo Networks was announced March 20th, though the financials were not disclosed. This merger will integrate wireless and location services under one umbrella.

Fifty percent of InnerWireless’s clients are in healthcare. The company provides wireless coverage in bigger buildings, such as hospitals, with a unified broadband distribution platform, Horizon. They recently released a new product, Spot, which tracks hospitals assets as well as a staff members and patients. PanGo’s asset tracking system, PanGo Locator, and location services platorm, PanOS, will be integrated with the InnerWireless platform. The InnerWireless Board of Directors will be joined by a new member appointed by PanGo.
